Range Rules

All Ranges

This is your club please take care of it, if you see something that you can remedy please do so on your own, if not contact a club officer.

Everyone is a safety officer at the range, if you see something that is unsafe please address it.  Basic gun safety rules apply.  Treat every gun as if it is loaded.  Never point a gun at anything you’re not willing to destroy.  Keep your finger off the trigger until you are ready to fire.  Know your target and what is beyond it.

Your membership covers the small bore range, high power range, and the pistol range.  The trap range and archery range are separate clubs, and you have to contact them for memberships.  Your membership runs from January 1st to December 31st.  Dues are $30 for members who turn 65 in the calendar year, $40 for members under 65, and free for members 80+ with the proceeding year of paid membership.

Membership covers married couples and their kids under 18 years old.  Anyone not meeting that criteria needs their own membership.  This is for insurance purposes.

Members may bring a guest, this is allowed one time per guest.  After one guest visit that person must be a member to use the range.

Borrowing our your gate card to non members will result in all persons being barred from membership.  Only a vote at the annual meeting can reverse this.

Lost or damaged gate cards can be replaced for $20.  If you find the lost card later you can trade it in for $20.  If you decide to not renew membership, you can send us your card and we will reissue it.  If you do not renew, and your card is turned off for a period of time, hold on to it, we can activate it easily.

Gate cards are used by holding them in proximity of the key pad on the posts on each side of the gate.

Each member should use their card to get in, it is ok to convoy out of the gate.

Use benches in line with targets.

Pull all targets and deposit in burn barrels.

No self adhesive targets adhered to the target backers, use staples.

Brass buckets are for brass cases, all steel and aluminum cases go in the garbage cans.

Use staples or tape only to put targets on target backers, no nails or push pins, these cause flat tires on our mower.

Aimed fire only, no shooting from the hip.  No binary triggers or full auto fire except for law enforcement on official duty.

Check bulletin boards at each  range for notices.  Each range has one.

The online calendar is the most up to date with range reservations.  Please check this if you are driving long distances.

The gate may be locked open at times for events.  If the gate is stuck in the up position and no one is at the range, please contact any club officer.

The club sells paper targets for $10/100.  Contact a club officer for targets.  You may use your own targets.

An email address is required for all new members, as this will replace our method of delivering club mailings.

Please no food or food garbage in our garbage cans, bears tip them over and spread the garbage everywhere.
